VACCINATION GUIDELINES:
- Shots will be given to healthy animals only
- The animal should be eating/drinking/playing normally
- The animal should not be vomiting/lethargic/have diarrhea
- Shots should be given no closer than two weeks and no farther than four
weeks to have the proper booster effect
- The first time rabies is given, no matter the age, it is good for one year
- If the animal has received rabies before, the rabies is good for three years
- Canine 5:1, Bordetella, Feline 4:1, Leukemia vaccines are good for one
year
If the animal is given shots properly as a puppy or kitten, then it only needs one set of shots annually from then on; a complete package if rabies is due and boosters if rabies is not needed.
