Desert Dawgs

In August, 2008 there will be a grueling 700 mile road race from Las Vegas to Reno, which draws racers and crowds from throughout the United States.  This year, at the starting line will be a race car that was built and will be driven by several animal supporters, known as “Team Desert Dawgs”.

They are calling their participation in this exciting race the “Race for Homeless Pets” and dedicating it to raise awareness of the plight
of homeless pets throughout the nation.  They are also generously
making this event a fund raiser for The Animal Foundation to benefit
the spay and neuter of adopted animals!

There are several ways that you can help “Team Desert Dawgs” raise funds.  Please see the enclosed brochure for further information about sponsorships, pledges and donations, all of which are tax deductible.   Spread the word to your employer, friends, clubs, associations or anyone else who you think might be interested in helping this cause, and sign them up!  Every sponsor, pledge and donation will receive a signed team postcard or race photo. 

The race will be broadcast online and by a national network and we
expect “Team Desert Dawgs” will receive local and national media
